      با توجه به این که کشاورزی دنیا با دو معضل گرم شدن زمین و شوری خاک روبرو است، بررسی مولکولی گیاهان مقاوم به شوری و گرما کمک زیادی به درک  مکانیسم مقاومت و انتقال آن به گیاهان زراعی می­کند. آنزیم فسفوانول پیروات کربوکسیلاز (PEPc) واکنش برگشت ناپذیز فسفو انول پیروات را در حضور یون بی کربنات به منظور تولید اگزالو استات در گونه­هایی کاتالیز می­کند که در آنها کربو کسیلاسیون اولیهCO2  مزوفیلی در طول فتوسنتز C4و متابولیسم اسید کراسولاسه انجام می­شود. در پژوهش حاضر بخشی از توالی کد شونده (CDS) ژن pepc در گیاه شورزیست چمن‌ شور ساحلی یا برت با نام علمی آلوروپوس لیتورالیس با طول 678 جفت باز جداسازی و با شماره دسترسی KP122945 (EC:4.1.1.31) در بانک ژن NCBI  ثبت شد، سپس الگوی تمایل کدونی و آنالیز کمی بیان آن در غلظت­های شاهد (0) و 600 میلی­مولار نمک کلرید سدیم (Nacl) با استفاده از روش Real-time PCR  مطالعه شد. نتایج نشان دادند که قطعه جداسازی شده بیشترین همولوژی در سطح پروتئین را با گونه­های Eragrostis minor  و japonica Zoysia دارد. همچنین شاخص تمایل کدنی (CAI) آن 82/0 برآورد گردید. بررسی کمی بیان ژن تحت تنش 600 میلی مولار نمک نشان داد که سطح رونوشت ژن pepc در پاسخ به شرایط تنش، حدود 3 برابر (نسبت به شاهد) افزایش یافته است. بنابراین افزایش بیان ژن فتوسنتزی pepc به عنوان یکی از مکانیسم­های ایجاد مقاومت به تنش شوری در گیاه آلوروپوس لیتورالیس پیشنهاد می­شود.
