In order to assess the response of rice genotypes to salinity stress at germination stage factorial design experiment with three replications in a completely randomized design in the lab biotechnology Sari University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources was carried out in which 16 genotypes of rice in 4 salinity levels (0, 40, 80 and 120 mM) were studied. Analysis of variance significant effect of salinity on the traits of different genotypes showed. According to the results of mean comparison of traits, by increasing the salinity of control level 40, 80 and 120 mM significantly reduced all characters. Simple correlation coefficients between traits showed a significant positive correlation with the germination speed and percentage of germination (0.89**). The results of principal component analysis based on the eight traits in germination stage showed that the two components were able to justify 77.66% of total changes. The first component was emphasized on root length, fresh weight of root, dry weight of root, germination percentage and germination rate in positive direction.  According to the analysis done in terms of tolerance genotypes Shastak Mohammadi and Line 21 in different levels of salinity in this experiment were superior to other genotypes and can be used in continuing its reform program.
