Simplifying the selection procedure to improve yield of new genotypes of rice is essential. In present study in order to evaluate relationship among grain yield with other agronomic traits, an experiment was conducted in 2015-2016 year in agricultural and natural resoures research center. In this study, 10 rice genotypes were studied in randomized complete block design with three replications. Grain yield along with other 10 agronomic traits was evaluated. Stepwise regression analysis showed that only two traits: The numbers of filled and unfilled grain per panicle were affected on grain yield significantly. The results derived from path analysis showed that the numbers of filled grain per panicle direct effect (0.82) was ratio other traits on grain yield, and indirect effects of these traits on the number of unfilled grains per panicle on grain yield was 0.1. The number of unfilled grains per panicle was direct effect and positive 0.36. Therefore, important traits as selection criteria for grain yiled improvement in rice plant respectively numbers of filled and unfilled grain per panicle were identified.
