      به­ منظور ارزیابی تمایز، یکنواختی و پایداری (DUS) خصوصیات ریخت ­شناختی سه ژنوتیپ جدید پنبه (GT40، TBL60 و SKT134) با استفاده از طرح بلوکهای کامل تصادفی با چهار تکرار مورد آزمون قرار گرفتند. به ­طورکلی 39 خصوصیت کمی و کیفی ریخت­ شناختی اندازه­ گیری شدند. نتایج نشان داد ژنوتیپ­ ها برای خصوصیات ریختشناختی کمی شامل تعداد گره‌ها تا پایین‌ترین شاخه زایا، طول شاخه زایا، تعداد گره‌های شاخه زایا، درصد کیل الیاف، درجه کشش، ظرافت و طول الیاف، ارتفاع گیاه و طول دمگل قوزه به ­طور معنی ­داری متمایز بودند. همچنین ژنوتیپ­ ها از لحاظ خصوصیات ریختشناختی کیفی: رنگ گرده، موقعیت کلاله نسبت به پرچم‌ها، اندازه براکته (در بلوغ سبز)، تیپ گل­دهی گیاه، اندازه برگ، کرک­دار بودن برگ (سطح زیرین)، قسمت بالایی ساقه زمان باز شدن قوزه (زمانی که 50 درصد گیاهان حداقل یک قوزه باز شده داشته باشد) و درجه شکفتگی قوزه (در مرحله بلوغ کامل) متمایز بودند. بهطورکلی براساس نتایج این تحقیق ژنوتیپ GT40 براساس زرد بودن رنگ گرده، موقعیت بالاتر کلاله نسبت به پرچم‌ها، اندازه کوچک برگ، کرک­دار بودن متوسط قسمت بالایی ساقه، ارتفاع کوتاه گیاه (در بلوغ سبز) و زمان زود باز شدن قوزه از ژنوتیپ­ های TBL60 و SKT134 متمایز بود. ژنوتیپ TBL60 نیز به ­واسطه تیپ گل­دهی باز گیاه، شدت متوسط رنگ سبز برگ (در مرحله گل­دهی)، اندازه متوسط براکته در بلوغ سبز و طول متوسط دمگل قوزه از ژنوتیپ SKT134 قابل تمایز بود. بنابراین، نتایج این تحقیق خصوصیات ریخت­ شناختی متمایز برخوردار از یکنواختی و پایداری سه ژنوتیپ جدید پنبه در دست معرفی به­ عنوان رقم را برای ثبت ارقام برای برخورداری از حقوق به ­نژادگران مشخص ساخت. همچنین باتوجه به یکنواختی و پایداری تمایز هشت خصوصیت ریخت ­شناختی کیفی، از این خصوصیات می ­توان بهعنوان شناسه ارقام در فرآیند کنترل و گواهی مزارع تولید بذر ارقامی که از این ژنوتیپ­ ها معرفی خواهند شد، برای ارزیابی خلوص و اصالت ژنتیکی، استفاده نمود.
