In order to evaluation of distinctness, uniformity and stability(DUS) of quantitative and qualitative morphological characteristics of three cotton new genotypes GT40, TBL60 and SKT134 in Golestan province, this research was conducted in 2011-2012 at Hashem Abad cotton research station of Cotton Research Institute(CRI) at Gorgan. Evaluated genotypes pure lines seeds planted as recommended planting date and plant density based on complete randomized blocks design by 4 replications and all ordinary cultivation operations conducted. During experiment, 39 quantitative and qualitative morphological characteristics recorded and measured according to the national Cotton Distinctness, Uniformity and Stability(DUS) testing guideline. Results showed that year× genotype intraction effect on number of nodes to the lowest fruiting branch(at flowering stage), fruiting branch length, fruiting branch number of nodes, ginning outturn, fiber length, elongation and fineness quantitative morphological characteristics significant. Genotypes for these characteristics distinct and SKT134 genotype in two year of experiment conduction have superiority for these characteristics. Also genotypes for plant height and boll petiole length distinct and TBL60 genotype superior. Genotypes for fruiting branch average internodes length and fiber strength and length uniformity not distinct but amount of these quantitative chractristics and plant height and boll petiole length significantly different in in experiment conduction years. Genotypes for pollen color, position of stigma relative to anthers, bract size(at green maturity), type of flowering, leaf intensity of green color(at flowering stage), leaf size and pubescence(lower side), stem pubescence in upper part, boll time of opening(when 50% of the plants have at least one boll opened) and degree of opening(at full maturity) qualitative morphological characteristics distinct, but for other evaluated qualitative morphological characteristics were similar. Generally, based on this research results, GT40 genotype based on yellow pollen color upper position of stigma relative to anthers, small leaf size, medium stem pubescence in upper part, short plant height(at green maturity) and early boll time of opening(when 50% of the plants have at least one boll opened) was distinct from TBL60 and SKT134 genotypes. Also TBL60 genotype due to non-clustered type of flowering, medium leaf intensity of green color(at flowering stage), medium bract size(at green maturity) and medium boll petiole length was distindt from SKT134 genotype. Therefore, meanwile this research results leading to prepared evaluated three cotton new genotypes in the course of introduction as cultivars morphological characteristics reference collection, which could be used for mentioned cultivars registration for having plants breeders right, with due attention to uniformity and stability of distinctness of eight qualitative morphological characteristics, can used these characteristics as descriptors of cultivars which would introduced fro those genotypes seed production fields control and certification of genetical purity and genuity.
