به‌منظور ارزیابی تنوع ژنتیکی و خصوصیات کمی و کیفی ژنوتیپ­های گندم در رابطه با زیر واحدهای گلوتنین با وزن ملکولی بالا، تعداد 30 رقم و لاین امید بخش گندم از نظر تنوع آللی در مکان‌های ژنی کنترل­ کننده پروتئین گلوتنین به روش SDS-PAGE مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفت. الگوی باندی پروتئین‌های گلوتنین استخراج شده از بذر ارقام و لاین­ها حاکی از حضور سه زیر واحد در جایگاه ژنی Glu-A1، چهار زیر واحد در جایگاه Glu-B1 و دو زیر واحد در جایگاه Glu-D1 بود. در مکان ژنی Glu-A1 آلل‌های نول، 1 در مکان ژنی Glu-B1، زیر واحدهای 8+7 و 18+17 و در مکان ژنی Glu-D1 زیر واحدهای 10+5 دارای بالاترین فراوانی بودند. در تحقیق حاضر ژنوتیپ­های زرین، پیشگام، آذر، رسول، توس، 26 و 29 با امتیاز ژنومی 10 به‌عنوان بهترین ژنوتیپ­ها از لحاظ کیفیت نانوایی شناسایی شدند. بر اساس نتایج تجزیه رگرسیون داده‌ها آلل *2 جایگاه ژنی Glu-A1، 43 درصد از تغییرات درصد رطوبت دانه، آلل‌های *2 جایگاه ژنی Glu-A1 و آلل 10+5 جایگاه ژنی Glu-D1 درمجموع 52 درصد از تغییرات میزان پروتئین دانه، آلل 10+5 جایگاه ژنی Glu-D1، 43 درصد از تغییرات عدد زلنی، آلل 8+7 جایگاه ژنی Glu-B1، 40 درصد از تغییرات میزان سختی دانه و آلل 16+13 مکان ژنی Glu-B1 38 درصد از تغییرات میزان نشاسته دانه را توجیه نمودند.
