The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between grain yield and important agricultural characteristics for six lines of rice and Shiroodi cultivar as control in the rice research station of (Tonekabon city) in west of Mazandaran Province crop during 2015 growing season. the experiment was conducted in a randomized complete block design with three replicates. Analysis of variance showed that there was a significant difference between genotypes for all studied traits except flag leaf width, which indicates the appropriate variation among the genotypes studied. the results of mean comparison test showed that the highest grain yield was related to line no. 5 with 7831.7 kg.ha-1 and the lowest grain yield was related to line no. 204 with 6884.3 kg.ha-1. Results showed that there was a positive and significant correlation between grain yield and number of tiller, 1000 grain weight, filled grain number and number of total grains in panicle. stepwise regression method was used that 1000 grain weight, filled grain and number of tillers had the most effect on grain yield. the results of path analysis, which show a more complete picture of correlation coefficients, show that 1000 grain weight can be used as one of the important and effective traits in selection of high yield in rice lines which can in breeding programs in determining the increase in grain yield.
