در این تحقیق، وراثت‌پذیری صفات مرتبط با میوه 15 توده­ گوجه فرنگی ایران (ارومیه، گرگان، کفشگیری، ساری، رشت، کردستان، کرمانشاه، سمنان، شاهرود، زنجان، ورامین، اسفراین، نیشابور، سیرجان، همدان) و همچنین اثر منبع دانه گرده برخی توده ها بر میوه بندی گوجه فرنگی در شهرستان کلاله استان گلستان در سال 98 مورد مطالعه قرار گرفت. آزمایش در قالب طرح بلوک کامل تصادفی با 15 جمعیت در سه تکرار (پنج گیاه برای هر جمعیت) اجرا ­شد. پس از گرده­افشانی، تعداد میوه در بوته، وزن میوه، تعداد حجره و تعداد بذر مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفتند. میزان تنوع فنوتیپی، ژنوتیپی، محیطی و توارث­پذیری عمومی صفات نیز محاسبه گردید. نتایج نشان داد که صفات وزن میوه، طول میوه و تعداد حجره به­ترتیب با مقادیر 200 گرم، 8/83 میلی­متر و 12 عدد در توده ورامین بیشترین مقدار را دارد. در توده کرمانشاه بیشترین تعداد بذر میوه با 323 عدد در هر میوه ثبت شد. توده کفشگیری، با طول 3/33 میلی­متر و وزن میوه 9/17 گرم، به عنوان یکی از کوچک­ترین میوه ها می باشد. صفات وزن میوه، طول میوه، تعداد حجره و تعداد بذر دارای وراثت­پذیری بالایی از 88 تا 92 درصد بودند. در همه صفات مورد مطالعه ضریب تنوع ژنتیکی بیشتر از ضریب تنوع فنوتیپی بود که نشان‌دهنده تأثیر کمتر عوامل محیطی بر این صفات بود. همچنین نتایج نشان داد که میوه های حاصل از تلاقی توده­های مختلف (نتاج حاصل از دگرگشنی) کمترین مقدار وزن میوه و تعداد بذر دارا بودند و نتاج حاصل از خودگشنی مقدار بیشتری را داشتند و لیکن دانه گرده غیرخودی بر طول میوه و تعداد حجره تاثیری نداشته است. از نتایج تحقیق حاضر می­توان استنباط کرد که نوع دانه گرده می­تواند بر خصوصیات کمی بذر و میوه گوجه فرنگی تأثیرگذار باشد بطوریکه اکثر صفات در حالت دگرگشنی به­طور معنی­داری دارای مقادیر کمتری نسبت به حالت خودگشنی بودند. بنابراین به منظور افزایش راندمان تولید در این گیاه، گرده افشانی با دانه گرده خودی قابل توجه می باشد.
