از ارقام مقاوم به­ عنوان روشی موثر در مدیریت بیماری‌های لکه برگی سپتوریایی و بادزدگی فوزاریومی سنبله گندم استفاده می‌شود. این پژوهش به­ منظور شناسایی منابع جدید مقاومت به این بیماری‌ها در بین تعداد زیادی از ارقام ایرانی و ژنوتیپ‌های جدید گندم انجام گرفت. ژنوتیپ‌ها در قالب طرح آگمنت در استان گلستان و در سال زراعی 97-1396 کشت شدند. آلودگی مصنوعی ژنوتیپ‌ها با پخش کردن برگ‌های آلوده و تلقیح سوسپانسیون اسپور انجام شدو از واکنش ژنوتیپ­ها نسبت به عوامل بیماریزا یادداشت ­برداری صورت گرفت. تجزیه کلاستر ژنوتیپ‌ها را در 7 گروه قرار داد، به­ طوری‌که گروه‌های 3 و 4 به ­ترتیب مقاوم و حساس بودند. ژنوتیپ‌های شماره 3 (هیرمند)، 6، 10، 12، 13 (گلستان)، 38 (آفتاب)، 40 (قابوس)، 44 (پیشتاز)، 51، 52 (شوش)، 59 (پاستور)، 64، 68، 73 (سپاهان)، 87، 92، 95، 97، 99، 110، 116، 127 (لاین 7) و رقم شاهد احسان در گروه 3 (مقاوم) قرار گرفتند. این گروه کمترین سطح زیر منحنی پیشرفت بیماری را داشت و به هر دو بیماری مقاومت بالایی نشان داد. از ژنوتیپ‌های مقاوم شناسایی شده در این پژوهش می‌توان در برنامه‌های اصلاحی به ­منظور هرمی کردن ژن‌های مقاومت به بیماری لکه برگی سپتوریایی و بیماری بادزدگی فوزاریومی سنبله و یا تلاقی‌های برگشتی استفاده کرد.
