کشت پاییزه نخود در مقایسه با کشت بهاره آن، عملکرد بیشتری دارد. به ­منظور بررسی امکان تغییر تاریخ کاشت از بهار به پاییز در منطقه رفسنجان و دستیابی به ارقامی که ضمن کشت پاییزه بتوانند سرمای زمستان را تحمل نموده و عملکرد بیشتری نیز تولید نمایند،63 ژنوتیپ نخود سفید درتاریخ اوایل آذر سال 1395 در گلدان کشت و در مزرعه مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفته و صفات زراعی تعداد روز از کاشت تا گلدهی و غلاف­ دهی، تعداد کل غلاف، تعداد غلاف­ های پر، عملکرد، وزن صد دانه، رنگ گل، درصد تلفات ناشی از سرما، شاخص برداشت در گلدان و شرایط مزرعه و پایداری غشاء ژنوتیپ­ ها در اتاقک رشد اندازه ­گیری شدند. بیشترین ضریب تغییرات برای صفت درصد تلفات (%120) و کم­ترین آن برای صفت تعداد روز از کاشت تا غلاف ­دهی (%12/3) مشاهده شد. در رگرسیون مرحله ­ای صفات تعداد بذر در بوته، وزن 100 دانه، تعداد کل غلاف، وزن خشک زیستی، شاخص برداشت و نشت یونی به ترتیب وارد مدل شده و بیشترین تاثیر را روی عملکرد داشتند. بین رنگ گل، نشت یونی و درصد تلفات و دیگر صفات کمی ارتباط وجود داشت. تجزیه خوشهای، ژنوتیپ­ ها را به سه گروه مجزا تقسیم نمود، که گروه دوم از نظر مقاومت به سرما و بسیاری از صفات زراعی نسبت گروه ­های دیگر برتری داشت و از داخل این گروه، ژنوتیپ­ های ارومیه 128، خوی 563، تربت جام 345، جیرفت 289 و دره‎گز 474 بر اساس گزینش توام سطوح مستقل انتخاب شدند. این ژنوتیپ­ ها دارای عملکرد بالا و درصد تلفات کمتر از 10%  در مقابل سرما بودند.
