عدس با بیش از 28 درصد پروتئین، قیمت نسبی پایین و طعم مطلوب، نقش بسیار مهمی در رژیم غذایی انسان داشته و در مناطق خشک و نیمه خشکی مورد توجه می­باشد، بنابراین شناسایی ارقامی از آن که متحمل به خشکی باشند، ضروی به نظر می‌رسد. از این رو، به‌منظور ارزیابی تأثیر تنش خشکی در مرحله گلدهی بر 168 لاین اینبرد نوترکیب عدس حاصل از تلاقی رقم هندی L3685 (پر محصول، دارای عادت رشدی ایستاده و زودرس) به‌عنوان والد مادری و رقم ایرانی قزوین (دارای عادت رشدی خوابیده و دیررس) به‌عنوان والد پدری، آزمایشی تحت دو شرایط معمول زراعی و تنش خشکی پایان دوره رشد در قالب طرح بلوک‌های کامل تصادفی با سه تکرار در مزرعه تحقیقاتی دانشگاه شهرکرد در سال زراعی 92-1391 به اجرا در آمد. نتایج حاصل از تجزیه واریانس مرکب داده‌ها، نشان داد که بین لاین‌ها از نظر کلیه صفات مورد مطالعه به­غیر از قطر دانه در سطح احتمال یک درصد اختلاف معنی‌دار وجود دارد. اختلاف بین شرایط معمول زراعی و تنش خشکی و برهمکنش لاین × تنش برای کلیه صفات به‌جز روز تا گلدهی و قطر دانه معنی‌دار شد. در محیط تنش نسبت به شرایط معمول زراعی، صفات وزن غلاف در بوته، عملکرد دانه و تعداد غلاف در بوته به ترتیب با کاهش 54، 3/45 و 25/42 درصدی نسبت به شرایط معمول زراعی، بیشترین تأثیرپذیری را نشان دادند. از نظر عملکرد دانه، عملکرد زیستی، روز تا رسیدگی و تعداد غلاف در بوته، لاین‌های 160، 125، 48، 129 و 103 به‌عنوان لاین‌های برتر شناسایی شدند. تجزیه همبستگی بیانگر رابطه مثبت و معنی‌دار بین عملکرد دانه با عملکرد زیستی، تعداد غلاف در بوته و وزن غلاف در بوته و همچنین همبستگی منفی و معنی‌دار با روز تا رسیدگی در هر دو شرایط بود. انجام رگرسیون گام‌به‌گام برای عملکرد دانه در هر دو محیط، اهمیت و نقش تعیین‌کننده صفات عملکرد زیستی و روز تا رسیدگی را نشان داد. در کل بر مبنای نتایج این آزمایش ضمن شناسایی اولیه لاین‌های پرمحصول در شرایط معمول زراعی و لاین‌های متحمل به تنش خشکی در جامعه مورد بررسی، بر اهمیت ویژه صفات عملکرد بیولوژیکی، روز تا رسیدگی، تعداد و وزن غلاف در بوته در انتخاب به منظور افزایش عملکرد دانه در عدس تاکید دارد.
