  روند نابودی گونه‌های ارزشمند گیاهی از جمله آویشن دنایی (Thymus daenensis Celak) در اثر عوامل مختلف زیستی و غیرزیستی نیازمند بازنگری در روش نگهداری این گیاهان می‌باشد. یکی از این روش ­ها تکنیک‌های انجمادی و نگهداری بذر در شرایط خارج از رویشگاه ­ها است. در پژوهش حاضر، اثر محلول‌های مختلف انجمادی (PVS2 و PVS3) با استفاده از دو روش انجماد (کپسوله-شیشه‌ای و قطره‌ای-شیشه‌ای) بر شاخص‌های طولی و جوانه‌زنی بذرهای گیاه آویشن دنایی ارزیابی شد. نتایج نشان داد که بیشترین درصد زنده­‌مانی بذرها (98%) و شاخص بنیه بذر (26) بعد از انجماد قطره‌ای-شیشه­ ای و استفاده از محلول آبگیری PVS3 در سطح معنی‌دار (05/0 >P) بدست آمد. همچنین کمترین ارتفاع گیاهچه پس از انجماد روش کپسوله­-شیشه‌ای با محلول آبگیری PVS2 مشاهده شد (33/17 میلی‌متر، 05/0 >p).  بنابراین روش قطره‌ای-شیشه‌ای با استفاده از PVS3 در مقایسه با
روش ­های دیگر برای حفظ
بلند مدت بذرهای گیاه آویشن دنایی مطلوب‌تر می‌باشد.
