   اصلاح ارقام زراعی جدید با سیستم‌های ریشه‌ای کارآمد پتانسیل بسیار خوبی برای افزایش بهره‌وری در استفاده از منابع و سازگاری گیاهان با آب و هوای ناپایدار و بهبود عملکرد دارد. مطالعه حاضر به ­منظور بررسی روابط خصوصیات ریشه‌ای با عملکرد و اجزای عملکرد گیاه در 24 لاین و رقم گندم نان در قالب طرح بلوک‌های کامل تصادفی با سه تکرار در شرایط دیم مزرعه تحقیقاتی دانشکده کشاورزی دانشگاه زنجان در دو سال زراعی 97-1396 و 98-1397 انجام شد. نتایج تجزیه واریانس مرکب نشان‌دهنده تفاوت بین سال‌ها و تنوع بالا میان ژنوتیپ‌ها برای اکثر صفات اندازه‌گیری شده بود. بر اساس نتایج بررسی پارامترهای ژنتیکی، بیشترین میزان وراثت پذیری مربوط به صفت تعداد دانه در سنبله (70/328 درصد) بود و وراثت‌پذیری اکثر صفات ریشه‌ای پایین بود. همبستگی بالا و معنی‌داری بین عملکرد با وزن هزاردانه وجود داشت. در حالیکه همبستگی عملکرد با اکثر صفات ریشه‌ای به غیر از قطر ریشه منفی بود. نتایج تجزیه علیت متوالی نشان داد که در مرحله اول زنجیره صفات وزن هزاردانه، تعداد سنبله در مترمربع و تعداد دانه در سنبله بر عملکرد دانه تأثیرگذار بودند و در مرحله دوم زنجیره صفات وزن خشک و قطر ریشه عمق بیشتر از cm25 و حجم ریشه تا عمق cm25 با تأثیر بر وزن هزاردانه، حجم ریشه عمق بیشتر از cm25 و وزن خشک ریشه تا عمق cm25 با تأثیر بر تعداد سنبله در مترمربع و حجم ریشه تا عمق cm25 با تأثیر بر تعداد دانه در سنبله به­ طور غیر مستقیم بر عملکرد دانه تأثیر داشتند. نتایج تجزیه به عامل‌ها منجر به شناسایی چهار عامل شد که در مجموع 82/45 درصد از تغییرات بین داده‌ها را تبیین کردند. بر اساس نتایج تجزیه خوشه‌ای ژنوتیپ‌های مورد بررسی در سه گروه قرار گرفتند که ارقام و لاین‌های قرار گرفته در گروه دوم با داشتن بیشترین حجم، قطر، وزن خشک، سطح و طول ریشه تا عمق cm25، بیشترین مقدار عملکرد را دارا بودند.
